The Raven, Rainow's quarterly magazine, was launched in 2007 to meet a demand identified in the Parish Plan. Distributed free to over six hundred households, it contains the latest news from the Parish Council, articles on local events, history and people plus a valuable "What's On" section listing coming events in and around the village.

In particular The Raven seeks to promote access to and enjoyment of the beautiful countryside for both sport and recreation; each issue includes comprehensive route notes for a ramble through the hills and valleys.

Aided initially by the Parish Council and a startup grant from Cheshire Community Action, The Raven is now a well established feature of village life. The magazine continues to be supported by the Parish Council but is now supplemented by income from advertising to keep The Raven flying into the future!
