Rainow Parish Council Civic Service 2024

Our Civic Service was held at Holy Trinity Church on Sunday 22nd September 2024. It was a wet day so it was a delight to welcome so many parishioners along with dignitaries.

We also welcomed our Rose Queen and her attendants.

Our Vicar, Simon Gowler, led an excellent service and attendees proceeded in a procession to Rainow Primary School where Cllr Alan Taylor, Chairman of the Parish Council, gave a welcoming speech.

The Mayor of Rainow, Richard Balment, was pleased to present Harry Carlisle with a Civic Award in recognition of the outstanding contribution he has made to the Community.

There was an excellent spread of food, with sandwiches provided by members of the Parish Council and some fantastic cakes received from the Women's Institute and Mothers Union.

The Parish Council would like to say a big thank you to all residents who joined in to help make the Civic Service such a successful event.  In particular all Members of the Womens Institute, the Mothers Union and all Church Members.
